Are there requirements for immunizations in Costa Rica?

That is a good question!

There are no vaccinations required to enter Costa Rica, although the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) does recommend that travelers be vaccinated against Hepatitis A and B. Malaria is extremely rare, and most cases have been reported along the Caribbean coast.

Water is potable in almost all the interior cities, including San Isidro de El General.  On the other hand, some travelers prefer to drink only bottled water, which is available throughout the country.
