At SEPA Spanish Language School, we enjoy teaching uniquely to the whole family.
Here’s how it works: Generally, unless you wish otherwise, we place you and your children in different classes so that we can teach you according to the specific learning needs of your different brain ages. On the other hand, you all participate together in the critically important homestay part of our program so that you can benefit equally from ‘living the life’ with an excellent Costa Rican family!
Homestay for Families and Kids:
For your family living experience, we carefully place you and your children in a loving home with kids as close to your children’s age as possible. Each family has been painstakingly trained and is excited to receive you and your precious offspring. Included in your homestay price are two hearty meals per day (breakfast and lunch), laundry, and your own private bedrooms.
SEPA Spanish School’s Spanish for Kids:
Children learn Spanish through games, role-playing, fun songs, and exciting field trips. We teach grammar and vocabulary according to your child’s age and level. Kids can start as young as four years old!
Each child receives personal attention. Spanish classes are adapted to match their personality. The most important thing for our kids is that they have fun and learn Spanish at the same time! For younger children, we set up play times with local children to provide them with Spanish immersion in Costa Rica. For the older kids we set up ‘get-togethers’ with the locals. A good time is had by all.
We keep our Spanish classes small, no more than three children per class. At SEPA’s Spanish Lessons for Children the price is $15.00 per hour per student with a minimum of two hours per day. (Price includes class materials.)

Childcare while you study Spanish abroad in Costa Rica
Do you need childcare for your younger children while you pursue your own studies? No worries! If your child is not ready for our Spanish for Children Program you can enroll them in our simple childcare program. (Just make sure you let us know before you get here so we can have everything in place!)
