This pumped-up Spanish Abroad Program is a great way to experience the beauty, culture and different lifestyles of our people while you learn Spanish faster in Costa Rica! Your two-week Spanish immersion in this Costa Rica program starts with a fabulous homestay with a local family in the charming town of San Isidro de El General. Here you soak up beauty and culture, even as you attend your dynamic Spanish classes on the exquisite SEPA Spanish School campus. A hiking excursion at the acclaimed FUDEBIOL biological reserve in the nearby mountains is an absolute winner.

During week two, your adventure moves to the small picturesque village of La Alfombra (which means ‘The Carpet’), so-called because of gorgeous, sweeping views that overlook a stunning carpet of vibrant jungle-green, disappearing into the smoky blues of the ocean. Here you find yourself just twenty minutes from the Pacific coast on the west, and twenty minutes from San Isidro to the east. You experience Costa Rica from the perspective of a sleepy farming pueblo set in the mountain jungle. Your country homestay family will open your eyes to a whole new way of life. Also during this week you visit the amazing Poza Azul waterfall and take a private tour to the incredible Marino Ballena National Park Beach with an expert guide.

Week 2 AT Casa Verde School

• Homestay in La Alfombra, Barú, Pérez Zeledón with a local family.
• Hearty breakfasts and dinners with your family.
• Laundry service.
• Books and materials.
• Visit to the Farmer´s Market. Where you can buy very fresh and organic vegetables and fruits.
• Field trip to the amazing Poza Azul Waterfall.
• Spanish classes: Casa Verde School: 8:00 – 11:00 or 2:00 – 5:00, Monday thru Friday
• Private tour: Marino Ballena National Park Beach with guide (Includes lunch).
• Free Internet Access at Casa Verde School.
