Learning Spanish is definitely an important step when making the transition to becoming a resident. Knowing Spanish helps you at every step along the way as you make all the important decisions ahead of you in this process. Spanish for Expats is both enjoyable and effective as you immerse yourself in this new culture.
SEPA Spanish School’s successful program goes way beyond textbook learning! Our approach is dynamic, creative, effective. Besides learning Spanish, we incorporate important cultural aspects that will enhance your success in Costa Rica as an expat and resident. You learn important local expressions, etiquette and practice making conversation.
SEPA understands that you have many unique Spanish language needs to get you through the residency process and the process of settling into a new country. We help you with our experience and knowledge, as well as our network of established professionals to help make the transition easier.

Group classes generally are on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
If you wish to take individual classes, we can schedule according to your needs. Here at SEPA, it’s all about you!
Program Cost
- 1 Week: US $60 (4 hours)
- 2 Weeks: US $115 (8 hours)
- 3 Weeks: US $162 (12 hours)
- 4 Weeks: US $216 (16 hours)
- Additional: Week US $55
This price is per person with a minimum of 2 students per class.
Private tutoring (personal trainer) per hour: US $18; however, students who take more than 15 individual hours, or who pay for 4 weeks at a time, receive a special discount!
By the way, some people choose to enroll in this program and combine it with other programs.
